Set up product recommendations

Review your product catalog before publishing recommendations. The catalog supplies the names, images, prices, and links used by product cards.

Add and check products

  1. Open Catalog. Review products collected through your site's configured sources.
  2. To add a feed on an ecommerce site, click Import CSV/JSON. Upload a CSV with columns such as name, price, category, sku, and url, or a JSON product array.
  3. Read the import result, then search for an imported product. Check its price, category, image, and destination URL.
  4. Open Sync settings to review the configured catalog source and refresh frequency.

Configure a recommendation variant

Open the relevant recommendation zone in Content. If you have not selected a page section yet, create a zone first.

  1. Choose the audience and open its product recommendation editor.
  2. Select Curated to choose products and their order, Auto-rank to let the engine rank them, or Mixed to pin products and fill the remaining positions automatically.
  3. Set Max products. For automatic ranking, review the strategy, catalog scope, and filters.
  4. Use Preview as to inspect recommendations for a Fresh visitor, a segment, or a specific session. Read any fallback or empty-result explanation.
  5. Save the variant, review its page preview, and follow the editor's publishing controls.

If the recommendations are empty or wrong

Check that the catalog contains eligible products and that scope or filters have not excluded them. Confirm pinned products still exist. A ranking preview cannot correct a missing image or an incorrect source price.

If the preview contains products but the page does not, check the zone binding, audience, and publishing state. Next: verify the saved variant on the page.
